In a recent interview Sarah Palin explains to the world why she believes that incest victims should have to carry the baby to term. We will skip over those silly details since it is obvious the woman is insane. Let’s take a closer look at her point of view on something more controversial. Sarah Palin says that she is against the morning after pill. The reason? She believes that life begins at conception.
For those of you who do not know what the morning after pill is I will provide a small lesson. The abortion pill, also commonly known as RU-486, causes a miscarriage after implantation of the embryo. The morning after pill is simply a high dose of birth control to prevent implantation, which happens anyway when a woman is taking birth control. This says that she is also against birth control since it does the same thing as the morning after pill. Not too surprising from since it’s coming from the party that said you’re either for us or against us.
The conservative movement has been hijacked by religious fundamentalists that believe birth control is abortion simply because it prevents the embryo from the implantation. Sarah Palin has shown her hand and by doing so she has shown the rest of the world that she is no different than Bush. Sarah Palin believes in that silly “culture of life” which after further examination leads me to the conclusion of that “culture of life” really means culture of endless babies. It should be no surprise that her view is the same as Bush. After all it’s hard for dead embryos to grow up to be dead soldiers.
The Bush administration has proposed new rules allowing doctors to refuse to perform work and get paychecks for being total Gen X slackers.
Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt said that health care professionals should not face retaliation from employers or from medical societies because they object to abortion.
“Freedom of conscience is not to be surrendered upon issuance of a medical degree,” said Leavitt.
It is obvious that Mr. Leavitt has never had a job before. Freedom of conscience need not be surrendered upon the issuance of any degree. Unfortunately he does not understand the fact that when you enter into an employment agreement your freedoms end. You have a contractual agreement that says you will do whatever your employer says. If you do not like the job then find another employer. This new policy says it is perfectly OK for any worker who does not want to do a specific task to go on boycott. This is unacceptable to any normal employer who is attempting to run a business and turn a profit. If it is good enough for doctors than it is certainly good enough for auto mechanics, teachers, and any other occupation.
What is even more dangerous than a poor policy is the fact that our government is encouraging anti-capitalistic policies. It is no wonder that our president is friends with the communist Vladimir Putin. Americans need to understand that getting a job and bringing home a paycheck is essential to their survival. Refusing to go to work will result in getting fired. If you feel that your employer is going to ask something of you such as performing an abortion, working weekends, or putting in more than 50 hours a week then you need to find another job or move to France. This is where Asians and other immigrants hold the advantage. We are willing to do what ever it takes to get the job done without questioning the moral implications of it. Until Americans learn how to go to work without bringing their own personal morality or opinions into it they will forever take a backseat to immigrants who understand the true value of attaining success.
The brilliance of the Midwest never ceases to amaze me. A 14 year old Sumner County girl has been charged with sodomy after reporting to a counselor that she was raped. This is absolutely outrageous. So outrageous that Attorney Sean Shores is being the hero and defending the girl for free.
“She went to her counselor, she asked for help, reached out for help and the message they sent her was–she should have kept her mouth shut,” says Shores.
Shores is a hero and is a person that makes attorneys seem less evil.
Deputy Sumner County Attorney Evan Watson simply says, “I am not in a position to discuss the facts or issues involved in any pending juvenile offender cases.
Watson on the other hand sounds like an ass hat that doesn’t understand the difference between victim and suspect. His boss should probably know that he needs to go back to law school for some remedial training.

Well that’s what we need is to encourage more people to breed. Sorry, but this is rather scary when you think about it. Historically countries that have had high birth rates have gone to war. Germany (WWII) and Iraq (Gulf War I) are perfect examples of a high birth rate and aggression. But I guess you can’t have dead soldiers unless you can preserve those fetuses.
He seems to label Obama as a socialist, but this is nothing more than socialism in disguise. The problem with increasing the birth rate is you have more people than you have jobs. Why have 2.5 children if you can’t afford your mortgage? I predict that this is going to eventually lead to harder economic times 10 years from now.

As we had written before, we believed that no crime had been committed since there was no computer record of the existance of Mr. Giovanni Rivera. No evidence, no crime. I’m not sure what Pastor Fred Phelps is driving at here, but since he’s harping on the fact that Lauren Burk is a Christ-rejecting Jew must mean he has a problem with Jews and Israel. Is this cover for saying that Jews are Dajjal, the Anti-Christ in the Qur’an? President Bush says Israel (read The Jews) are our allies in the War on Terror and since the only people who hate Jews are Nazis (defeated in WWII) and Islamists (not yet defeated) this does raise the question as to what Westboro Baptist Church is up to. Are they in league with Iran and the Taliban? They have a negative stance on homosexuals and they believe that God hates America because we permit homosexuality in our society. Iran does not have homosexuals at all according to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. This must mean that Westboro Baptist Church looks favorably upon Iran and believes that God (Allah) also blesses Iran because they execute their homosexuals. Since the Christian God forgives all we must assume that Pastor Phelps and his crew are actually followers of Allah, who preaches death to homosexuals and the infidel.

ADA Crystal Long recommended a year probation and counseling, which the Judge accepted. This is a big loss to the citizenry on several fronts. It represents the irrational fear that Americans have of sex. Three years in prison for talking to your kids about sex is ludicrous. It’s also ludicrous to call it felony exposing a child to harmful descriptions. It is legal for a school to do that, however. What the government is saying to the public is that you should not educate your kids, but we’ll do it because we’re the government. Some may say that how she conducted discussion was inappropriate and perhaps too graphic. Her kids were 12 and 16 and in the UK they would have received sex education around 10. At 12 you should be exposed to everything that the world has to offer in the most graphic sense. Show pictures of mutilated bodies from drinking and driving, meth addicts photos, anything that can be a lesson to the worst possible scenario.
I don’t support Barack Obama, but his idea that we should have sex ed in kindergarten is a great one. Why? Let’s consider what class sex ed is taught in, General Sciences or Biology. America lags behind in science and math education. Therefore if Chinese students can learn calculus in middle school, it would stand to reason that they can learn advanced biology and chemistry in the same time frame. If you move backwards in time from that education level it would seem that sex ed would be appropriate for people around the first through third grade. The concepts of plankton, alge, mitosis, and bacteria are easily convertible from a middle school level to an elementary school level. America is falling behind the rest of the world and we can blame our government for that fact. It is time we looked at knowledge as power, not something to be feared.
John Cornetta has generously offered the city of Johns Creek $3000 toward the purchase of a new firetruck. Unfortunately the mayor, Mike Bodker, has some strange political agenda up his sleeve and has refused the donation. For some reason Bodker feels the need to pilfer the pockets of the tax payers, rather than take free money when it is offered. Cornetta, a successful business owner, should be commended for his efforts to subsidize a firetruck for the city of Johns Creek since the mayor has not purchased one since the city was formed on December 1, 2006. Presently fire and police services are contracted to Fulton County. Some believe the mayor has snubbed Cornetta because of his business of operating adult video stores. Regardless of the political or moral implications, Mr. Cornetta has offered the tax payers of Johns Creek some savings on building their city. Any accountant will tell you that 1% savings is better than 0% and anything more than 1% is gravy. You don’t have to be an Asian rocket scientist to understand the numbers. I would hope that an old white guy like Bodker could understand 5th grade math, but apparently not. The mayor and the voters of Johns Creek need to realize that the only thing in play here are the numbers. Turning down free for a more expensive option never makes good economic sense.
Rudy Giuliani is turning out to be a candidate that can change a lot of things. Of note is that he is not going to tow the party line and go along with McCain and Romney on the abortion issue. Rudy’s advisors seem to think that abortion is not a divisive issue this election and stepping outside the norm may gather more swing voters or people who would normally vote Democrat.
I’m with his advisors on this one. Gen-X and Gen-Y are starting to become more interested in politics. The moral hang-ups that our parents had just are not on the radar for many people under age 35. Giuliani, if he continues on this course, is making a statement that your body is your property and that the government does not have the right to point a gun at you and tell you what you can and can’t do with your body. I will be interested to hear his views in the coming weeks on assisted suicide, since this “culture of life” the right wing is against anyone dying, except for death row inmates.
Republicans and religious zealots on the right are quick to challenge abortion and assisted suicide, but when there’s an execution scheduled they’re all over it. If the unborn are sacred and the elderly deserve protection, then mass murders should get the same treatment, right? Isn’t it Christian to forgive and not throw the first stone? How is it possible to be pro-life and pro-death at the same time? The best answer is to not ask too many questions and let people do what they will behind closed doors. America is about liberty and much of that comes from letting your neighbor do as they please, provided it does not infringe on your rights as an individual. You can be critical, but don’t try to legislate morality.
It’s nice to see that the puritans in this country still love to impose a Sin tax. Under the Dance Performer Registration Act, Felix Ortiz (D-Brooklyn) wants strippers to buy a permit to work and then make the clubs buy a permit to hire registered dancers. This is just another tax in disguise. It’s really silly that you have to buy a permit to wait tables, be a bouncer, be a bartender, etc. The free market should decide who gets to work and who shouldn’t. If you can’t carry plates to a table then you lose your job.
The other issue here is that there is no system can validate an ID. If you have forged or stolen papers when you get the ID it’s going to turn up as a legitimate ID when they check it. This is why those silly ID checks at the airport do not prevent terrorism. Birth certificates are public record. That’s all you need to get a State ID. Find someone who has died that is close to your age. Your obituary section can help you out. Get their birth certificate and go to your local DMV and acquire an ID. There are no controls in place to prevent this from happening, so much like security theater at the airport, this legislation is useless.

Rich people tend to spend more money so it is a more realistic tax on the rich than the income tax. The Prebate that comes with The Fair Tax supports the poor and middle class by making the necessities of life tax free.
Sorry Mr. Ortiz, I think we can clearly see you are a tax and spend kind of guy and a closet puritan as well.
