Atlanta is about to go broke. With the supreme court ruling and the new gun law in GA going into effect on July 1 legalizing guns on government property you would think someone at the City would get a clue. Instead the airport manager, Ben DeCosta, says he will have anyone arrested who brings a gun to the airport regardless of what the law says. To top it all of the former cop and State Representative Bearden who wrote the new law says he’s going to wear his gun to the Airport on July 1 and will sue the city if they arrest him.

Airport General Manager Ben DeCosta said if Bearden shows up at the world’s busiest airport with a gun, he’ll be busted.

“I can identify him, and I’ll have him arrested,” DeCosta said Monday. “We’re not fooling around. This is a post-terrorism environment.”

Someone be sure to ask Bin Laden for his concealed weapons permit when he tries to get off the MARTA train. I am so damn tired of people waving the terrorism flag. You could have 9/11 every Tuesday for a whole year and lose around 150,000 people. We would drop a nuke on someone long before the numbers reach those levels. Do something to protect your interests’ people! Bullet proof vests are under $500 on eBay and $2 Million in term life insurance can be had for less than $50/mo. That’s the average income over a lifetime with a bachelor’s degree. What you do for your clan is more important than your life. We’re all going to be dead and then reincarnated anyway so why not make sure your family gets a pay out? Stop trading freedom for security! Stop letting the terrorists win! Why do Americans frighten so easily by cavemen with beards in Afghanistan? It must be those big round eyes you have that let you see the terrorists everywhere.

According to a new study 50% of gun deaths are not homicides, but suicides.

Suicides accounted for 55 percent of the nation’s nearly 31,000 firearm deaths in 2005, the most recent year for which statistics are available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

That’s good to know that the recent Supreme Court ruling is not going to affect 50% of the people that are shot. Since we are supposedly having a recession (I’m not convinced), then fewer people mean more jobs and wealth for the rest of us. Fewer people also mean less pollution. If the Democrats want to prove that they are the environmentally friendly party then they should strive to put more guns on the street. That’s the kind of environmentally friendly platform I can go for.

The brilliance of the Midwest never ceases to amaze me. A 14 year old Sumner County girl has been charged with sodomy after reporting to a counselor that she was raped. This is absolutely outrageous. So outrageous that Attorney Sean Shores is being the hero and defending the girl for free.

“She went to her counselor, she asked for help, reached out for help and the message they sent her was–she should have kept her mouth shut,” says Shores.

Shores is a hero and is a person that makes attorneys seem less evil.

Deputy Sumner County Attorney Evan Watson simply says, “I am not in a position to discuss the facts or issues involved in any pending juvenile offender cases.

Watson on the other hand sounds like an ass hat that doesn’t understand the difference between victim and suspect. His boss should probably know that he needs to go back to law school for some remedial training.

More news from who cares department. According to the rumor mill McCain strategist, Charlie Black, said that an attack on US soil would help McCain in the election. For some reason people find the truth offensive. Here’s a little truth for you. Police like crime. If there were no crime then they wouldn’t be getting new cars every year, fancy equipment, or promotions. If crime drops then you have layoffs on the police department. It is a simple fact of life that some people make money directly or indirectly off other people’s misfortune. The security and counter terrorism industry started booming after 9/11 and if you are a stock holder in one of those companies you know that as long as there’s fear and hype of another attack you will be making money.

There is no morality in the issue as it is merely the way the universe works. Therefore Charlie Black did not really say anything offensive or morally wrong. It’s a simple fact that Americans like payback and if we are attacked before the election we’ll be calling to drop nukes on the most likely suspect country. Though now that McCain’s campaign has openly said this, it is almost assured that there won’t be an attack. Having McCain as President would be the absolute last thing Osama Bin Laden would want. The terrorists will be quiet until after the election.

The Telegraph is reporting that college girls are now banned from whistling at builders. A memo that was sent out read:

It has come to the attention of the college that some female students have been making comments to, or whistling at, the builders both whilst on site and as they walk around the campus. Although we are sure no offence is meant, this constitutes harassment and is wholly unacceptable. We have asked the contractors’ representative to pass on all instances of harassment to the college and we will take appropriate action which may include disciplinary action.

Apparently these naïve college girls did not realize that these buff construction dudes they were wolf calling at were actually gay. We don’t know that for sure since the contractors were not interviewed, but what straight man would complain? If you are a straight man on this work site and you have a problem with college girls whistling at you, then we recommend that you report to your nearest gay bar for gaydar testing.

McCain has shown that he has to go begging to the religious right. He is now proposing tax breaks for masses of cells.

“My friends, life begins at conception and so do tax breaks,”

Well that’s what we need is to encourage more people to breed. Sorry, but this is rather scary when you think about it. Historically countries that have had high birth rates have gone to war. Germany (WWII) and Iraq (Gulf War I) are perfect examples of a high birth rate and aggression. But I guess you can’t have dead soldiers unless you can preserve those fetuses.

He seems to label Obama as a socialist, but this is nothing more than socialism in disguise. The problem with increasing the birth rate is you have more people than you have jobs. Why have 2.5 children if you can’t afford your mortgage? I predict that this is going to eventually lead to harder economic times 10 years from now.

Arizona Sen. John McCain refused to apologize yesterday for his use of a racial slur to condemn the North Vietnamese prison guards who tortured and held him captive during the war.

“I hate the gooks,” McCain said

Hats off to McCain.  Hey, if it walks like a gook and quacks like a gook then it is a gook.  He uses the slur, rightfully so, against North Vietnamese which is perfectly ok since they are not even human.  That’s right.  I said North Vietnamese are not even human.  They sided with Russia and China against the United States and France (ok I can forgive them for the latter) during the Vietnam War.  Is there any real reason we should say nice things about them?  I mean they lived in underground tunnels in the middle of a jungle.  How is that for advanced civilization?

Diane Chin has proved that she is an absolute idiot.  If you are the leader of the country with the most nuclear warheads you can say what you want, but nuclear warheads aside it is perfectly acceptable to use any vocabulary you choose.  Why? Because of the first person point of view.  The first person point of view is always valid over all others.  If McCain wants to call them Gooks then that is perfectly valid.  If I want to call them Gooks too that is perfectly valid.  For someone to not recognize that their statements do not agree with John McCain or the mighty Quan Tran is a major problem.
