Baptizing and Hetero-phobia at Guantanamo

January 3rd, 2007 by Quan Tranh

Washington Post is covering a story about so called “atrocities” at Guantanamo Bay. Not that I’m concerned what we do with suspected terrorists, but there are some good points here.

In a previously unreported allegation, one interrogator bragged to an FBI agent that he had forced a prisoner to listen to “Satanic black metal music for hours,” then dressed as a Catholic priest before “baptizing” him.

This is quite entertaining. I do have a question though. Is it ok to make Muslim prisoners listen to Death Metal if you make them listen to Nile? It’s Egyptian themed after all and should mix nicely with the prisoners. Then the interrogator dressed as a priest, eh? Well it would only be appropriate to play “Baptized in Blood” by Death then. I have to wonder if the prisoner was baptized in pig’s blood. Now that would have been something to see.

One agent reported being told that while questioning male captives, female interrogators would sometimes wet their hands and touch detainees’ faces in order to interrupt their prayers. Such actions would make some Muslims consider themselves unclean and unable to continue praying.

Islam is such a confusing religion and apparently uneducated as well. If you just rinsed your hands you should be cleaner and touching others with wet hands might be rude but certainly not unclean. It is not surprising that they don’t understand the basics of hygiene with nothing but sand around. Perhaps it’s not the fact that someone who just washed their hands touched the prisoners, but that they believe women are unclean. Is possible that is where the problem lies. The facts were right under my nose all this time. Terrorists prefer young boys over girls.

Rule No. 19 instructs that Taliban fighters must not take young boys without facial hair into their private quarters.

It sounds like the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay shouldn’t be complaining about the role playing going on there. As a matter of fact they should be borrowing that Catholic priest costume from one of the guards.
