An Amish couple filed suit over the Homeland Security photo rule earlier this month. While you are free to worship as you wish, you are also free to choose whether or not to comply with the law of the land. The current rules for immigration, right or wrong, state you need to provide two photographs. This couple is free to convert to a religion that does not have an issue with photographs or they are free to go somewhere else that does not require it. Yes it is a painful and inconvenient experience, but rules are rules. If the rules are truly stupid then we should change them; however, I don’t see people lining up to complain about this particular rule.
