Yes LaFave Is Too Pretty To Go To Jail

March 25th, 2006 by Quan Tranh

Too pretty to go to jail?

The Debra LaFave trial is finally over and yes I’m a little late on the issue. This is one of those topics I was going to let go, but the incessant whining of conservative groups and individuals including Sean Hannity & Bill O’Reilly has really annoyed the hell out of me.

There are all kinds of complaints through the entire case. The plea deal that allowed her to skip jail time outraged the judge and the general public. Prosecutors didn’t want to put the “victim” on the stand so a deal was reached with defense attorneys. No problem there. A District Attorney is supposed to negotiate deals that are to the benefit of the community. In my opinion any DA that immediately seeks jail time is a slacker and needs to be voted out of office at the next election. It costs the taxpayer approximately $40,000 per year to house convicts. Community service, house arrest, or paying civil restitution is more preferable than prison for those of us on the outside. Since LaFave did not commit a violent felony she should not be in prison.

The next question I have is it really possible for a teenaged male to be a victim? Georgia changed its statute on Statutory Rape in 1996 raising the age of consent to 16 and making allowances for males to be victims. I had a major problem with both high points of the legislation. If you’re old enough to pull the trigger and kill people then there’s no arguing that you’re too young to not understand the implications of what you are doing. America in general has a problem with believing that children are ignorant until they turn 18 or 21. I also question whether or not a male can be a victim in this case. If you’re not willing you’re not going to get it up, but let’s face it teenaged boys are all too willing to get it up for hot chicks, ugly chicks, skinny chicks, or fat chicks. The only question here to ask is if the boy was willing and able to get it up. If he wasn’t he must be a fag. Ok, that was insensitive. He may have a testosterone deficiency so we can make exceptions for medical issues.

Speaking of that, what is up with the kid’s mom? She was outraged that LaFave didn’t get jail time for what was done to her precious little boy. Earth to whiny parent, your son just scored with a hot chick. If you’ve got a problem with LaFave then you also must have a problem with him doing the popular hot cheerleader in his class too. See, to guys a notch in your belt is a notch in your belt. At that age quantity is important, but popularity and looks are bonuses. Scoring with the hot popular cheerleader is the high point for most adolescent boys, but scoring with your teacher especially if she’s hot is going to have you labeled as the mega stud among your classmates. In the end kid’s mom had to come along and ruin his ego trip. Now all the kids at school are going to be teasing the poor boy because it’s obvious his mother wants him to be taking it up the ass by a male teacher. Girls his age won’t touch him now because they’ll be afraid of going to jail for molesting him. Way to go mom. Your son is on his way to becoming a queen. No big deal though, gay people need love too.

Finally the defense attorneys need some credit. People are upset that they argued she was too pretty to go to jail. All I have to say is “M4d l33t pR0pz t0 j00 L4wY3rz!!!111”. One reason the general public is outraged is no attorney had the balls to argue that people should get a pass based on their looks. What a great idea! I can go along with this argument. The liberal components of America see anything of this nature as a problem since we want fairness and equality for all people.

Studies have shown that ugly people are more likely to end up in jail. Why buck statistics? Why put good looking people away while allowing potential criminals to walk the streets? Perhaps the solution to be fair from now on is to create a world that Scott Westerfeld describes in his book Uglies. If everyone has cosmetic surgery at the same age to become the standard of beauty then there will be no arguing by lawyers that someone is too pretty to go to jail. If everyone is beautiful the possibility of someone arguing that because they were ugly they had a messed up childhood and needed to rob a bank and kill people because of said messed up childhood would be greatly reduced. Liberals should love the idea that the playing field will be finally leveled.

While we’re at it let’s also touch on fairness. Is it right that LaFave is getting special treatment because she’s an attractive woman? Is it right that a male teacher would be buired under the jail while she walks free? Yes, it is. People are different get over it. One tradeoff is that men statistically earn more money than women over their entire lifetime. Use that money for a better defense attorney or to contribute to the district attorney’s reelection fund. If you can’t use your good looks or personality to influence people then use your money. It’s what we do in Vietnam.

One thing that modern Americans hate is their European heritage where privilege was granted based on your last name and who you were related to. If you were one of the King’s noblemen you managed to get things in life that peasants never dreamed of. In reality America is no different today, except we have done away with birthright and replaced it with occupation, popularity, and money. Athletes and the very wealthy have the ability to get away with more than the middle or lower classes. Liberal thought would tell us that the filthy rich need to be knocked down to the level of the majority.

Fortunately we Asians understand the game when we come here. Did you ever wonder why Asian parents ride their kids hard and expect them to be over achievers in athletics and academics? The reason is that Asians understand that hard work is the key to an easy life in America. If you become the high flying lawyer you’ll have money buy the luxuries in life and influence others to let you have your way. If you become a professional athlete you’ll have fame and money. Models and actors also have a similar pass because they’re good looking and have money.

Instead of whining about the filthy rich and famous (white people I’m talking to you) and whining about how “the man” is holding you back (black people I’m talking to you) build yourselves to where you’ll end up with advantages over other people. If you don’t you’ll have a slanty eyed person who is fresh off the boat seeking a career where they may not be “happy” in the same sense you are, but they will be going farther than those who just seek a job they’re happy at. I commend people of all races who understand that there is a tradeoff between traditional American happiness and success with elite privilege.

Don’t Get Drunk and Mess With Texas

March 24th, 2006 by Quan Tranh

A brilliant abuse of government power in Texas.  They’re going into bars and arresting people for being drunk.

The first sting operation was conducted recently in a Dallas suburb where agents infiltrated 36 bars and arrested 30 people for public intoxication, said the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission’s Carolyn Beck.

Is this another case of the Christian Taliban taking over this country?  Since this is home base for George W. Bush and crew I would have to say that conservative family values must be at work here.

Let’s also take a look at what’s wrong with this picture.  Bars are private, not public.  Public implies that government funds are used in the operations of an entity.  The argument that the bars are open to the public also doesn’t fly.  All private businesses are there to make money, thus they are open only to paying customers.  Try going to a college town and loitering at a Waffle House or McDonald’s at 2am without buying anything.  The rent-a-cop on duty will have you thrown out because the seating is for paying customers not the general public.  If you don’t leave your car will be towed and you’ll be in jail.  This would indicate that you are on private property if a manager or a security guard can throw you out.  I really hope that everyone who was arrested decides to sue for false arrest.  At the very least they should be able to get out of the charges on a technicality.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission’s contact info can be found here if anyone feels the need to tell them how stupid they look.

Dogs Scare Crap Out Of Terrorists

March 14th, 2006 by Quan Tranh

Sgt. Michael J. Smith is facing charges along with another dog handler for using his dog to harass, threaten, or assault detainees.  Unfortunately Sgt. Smith is looking at 24 years in prison for mistreating terrorists.  In today’s world you have to treat everyone fairly.  I wonder what would happen if you were to harass detainees with a wild boar.  Now that would be entertainment!  Not only do they have to worry about getting mauled by a wild animal, but they also have to worry touching something unclean.  Let this be a lesson to anyone who does this again.  If you’re going to risk prison time at least make the detainees think they’re going to die and go to hell.

Iran President: Peace to All … Except U.S. and Israel

March 14th, 2006 by Quan Tranh

Iranian President Mahmud “LI-LI-LI-LI” Ahmadinejad says Iran wants peace with everyone except for the US and Israel.

“But the Great Satan (the United States), as long as it keeps its current identity, and the illegitimate occupying regime of Israel are exceptions, he added.”

What he is really saying is that Israel is screwed and the US is screwed until it stops backing Israel, our men wear towels on their heads, and we force our women to wear bags. If he doesn’t want peace we should grant him his wish.

Iranians Smooth Talkers on Nuclear Deal

March 8th, 2006 by Quan Tranh

Clicked blogged something very interesting about Iran’s nuclear program.

Bloggers who believe that negotiating nuclear matters with other countries is a waste of time are finding validation in an article about an Iranian nuclear negotiator’s claim that talks where a stall tactic while work on the Iranian nuclear program continued.  The source for this is unclear, but it does mention, “The contents of the speech were published in a regime journal that circulates among the ruling elite.”

Unfortunately these guys have taken a hint from the Vietnam War.   Americans love their diplomacy and will do anything to avoid escalating a conflict for fear of permanently destroying any chance of negotiating.  North Vietnam did this several times to the US by offering to negotiate but then calling the terms unacceptable.  They deliberately strung the US and South Vietnam along while continuing to build their war machine.  As a result the US did not employ unrestricted bombing of North Vietnam nor were atomic weapons used.

Iran has already fooled us using similar tactics.  Though I think we should help them with their desire to produce nuclear energy.  One of our Ohio Class missle submarines could cause more than enough nuclear energy to be produced on Iranian soil.

NYC Attacks Online Cigarette Shoppers

March 8th, 2006 by Quan Tranh

eSmokes has settled with NYC over back taxes concerning cigarette sales online.  The terms would allow NYC to go after customers for taxes not paid on the cigarettes they ordered online.  Eventhough I don’t care for smoking I think Bloomberg is not being a financial genius.  The reason people went outside the city/state is because what they were buying was cheaper.  A brilliant business man such as Bloomberg should understand lower price attracts more customers.  If NYC wants smoker’s tax money then they should consider competing with North Carolina’s cigarette tax, rather than being anti-capitalistic and trying to shut down a system that allows consumers to get the best deal.

School Suspends 20 Students for Looking at MySpace at Home

March 5th, 2006 by Quan Tranh

COSTA MESA, Calif. - A middle school student faces expulsion for allegedly posting graphic threats against a classmate on the popular MySpace.com Web site, and 20 of his classmates were suspended for viewing the posting, school officials said.

Metz said the students’ suspensions in mid-February were appropriate because the incident involved student safety. Some parents however questioned whether the school overstepped its bounds by disciplining students for actions that occurred on personal computers, at home and after school hours.

In the case of law enforcement there are defined jurisdictions. The school is only responsible for what happens on campus and nowhere else. It is a clear abuse of authority to get involved in any affairs off campus. If this were truly an issue we would be reading headlines stating “20 students arrested”. Schools typically threaten parents and students by saying their discipline is light compared to what would happen if they called the police then offer to drop the whole issue and hand the case over to the police. In most cases the police wouldn’t touch the case so again you have a group of power hungry morons at the helm. Since when did it become a crime for simply looking at something on the Internet? I am guessing the school is upset that the 20 students didn’t rat out the MySpace profile to begin with. It probably has something to do with a misguided Soviet era belief that if you don’t turn in other people you are a conspirator. In the real world the police can’t arrest you for not reporting a crime, but school officials seldom live in the real world.
Here’s the school and school board contact information. Time to let them know how foolish they’re looking across the country.

No More Multiculturalism In Europe?

March 1st, 2006 by Quan Tranh

Apparently “Mohammad-Gate” has started the ball rolling on the end of multiculturalism starting with the Dutch. Already the Dutch have began a campaign against the culture of terror. Cities have began requiring the native language to be spoken and the burka has been banned in public. No longer will women have to wear bags.

Denmark’s Minister of Cultural Affairs Brian Mikkelsen said, “We have gone to war against the multicultural ideology that says that everything is equally valid.”

When moving to a new country it is essential to integrate. The French require cultural immersion and in Canada, French and English are the official languages. In order to attain success you have to learn the language and be a part of the people. Muslims have refused to become part of the greater European community and it is time to tell them that if you want to be European or American then act like Europeans or Ameriacans.

Nicholas Sarkozy of France has also underscored this fact.

“The French way of integration no longer works,” he said, meaning France’s long-held pretense that its strict public secularism could erase differences and make newcomers “French.”

Not everyone can be French and it is time that the French are realizing that fact. I agree with deporting anyone who refuses to become “French” through refusing to learn the language of commerce there and neglecting to find a job. People who don’t work should be deported. I do not support the concept of sending the entire family away if a woman is kept at home and not allowed to learn French. Granted, this may be a poor translation of Sarkozy’s language into English. I believe any man who enslaves women and keeps them at home without offering them the option to attain Western success should be deported. Though if I were the Minister of Justice I would require gender reassignment surgery to make them into Women before deporting them.

Hammas Not Related to Dracula

March 1st, 2006 by Quan Tranh

A representative of Hammas says “We are not lovers of blood”.  It’s nice to know that Palestinians are not Vampires.  I would like to see this turned into a movie.  Call it  “Desert World”.  Since Palestinians are not Vampires they must be Lycans therefore Israel’s death dealers must hunt them down.  Silver bullets dipped in pig fat could be a great weapon against the middle eastern variant of the Lycans.

Blogger Sticks it To SD Christian Taliban

March 1st, 2006 by Quan Tranh

Blogger Molly has posted some information on abortion which should help people in SD.   I’m not convinced it’s entirely safe, but information is information.  The Christian Taliban of the South Dakota Legislature may attempt to ban abortion, but they can’t ban knowledge distribution.
