This is a wonderful step towards stopping poll fraud. Though I don’t agree with how it works. It appears that polling officials need to make free Voter ID cards. Why not mandate State ID cards for free instead? It’s like a driver’s license that says “ID Only” on it. That would make more sense than to make new government offices buy all the cameras and other equipment needed to make a pseudo-drivers license.
State Rep. DuBose Porter of Dublin, the Democratic leader in the House, denounced passage of the bill as unnecessary and an attempt by the GOP “to rig this November’s elections.”.
I’m not sure if this joker is the one I heard on the radio today, but whoever it was in addition to the above remark said that this bill was not a good idea because people would not have time to get ID cards before the November elections. What month is this? It’s freakin January! Are you telling me that we really need to be concerned over people who are too stupid to get an ID card in 10 months or less?

Uh oh. Castro is not happy that the US Mission has placed a 5 ft marquee in view of his citizens that projects pro-human rights messages to a dictatorship. This is a great idea. Hopefully this will rattle Castro enough to give him a heart attack. Can we do the same thing in Iran? I think something like the Batman signal projecting pro-USA messages on the clouds would be a wonderful addition to Tehran.

This must be one of the sillier stories ran on News.com
The handbook from the Entertainment Software Association, the show’s promoter, says: “Material, including live models, conduct that is sexually explicit and/or sexually provocative, including but not limited to nudity, partial nudity and bathing suit bottoms, are prohibited on the show floor, all common areas, and at any access points to the show.”
The Entertainment Software Association does have the right to regulate what goes on at their conventions, but I have to wonder if someone lost the memo that sex sells or if the Feminazis have truly taken over the organization. Still, there’s nothing saying that attendees can’t dress in prohibited garb. I wonder how the morons that run this show would take it if fans were to show up and volunteer to help their favorite vendor. Communism and feminism strike another part of American society. One has to wonder why appeasing the feminazis is more important that marketing and sales?

I read an article in the AJC today concerning SB 429 introduced by Nancy Schaefer. I have an issue with this legislation as it creates a bureaucratic red-tape process that serves no real business or safety purpose. First if an abortion clinic doesn’t own an ultrasound machine they must now go buy one. If it doesn’t help their business why require it. This would be like requiring Jiffy Lube to buy a facility for storing nuclear waste when their main business is oil changes. The really obvious part is in section two of the bill.
“An ultrasound or sonogram examination of each unborn child shall be performed prior to an abortion being performed or a referral for an abortion being made. Such examination may be performed on site or by referral to another medical facility for the performance of such examination.”
The reason the religious nuts in the legislature want this done is to show pregnant women the ultrasound in addition to the 24 hour waiting period to convince them to not have the procedure. The ultrasound serves no real purpose and is akin to requiring a doctor to perform a proctologic exam to treat strep throat. I need to find a proctologist to help Sen. Schaefer get her head out of her colon.

Boortz wrote about a story by John Stossel titled Stupid in America. It’s one of those interesting school choice arguments. Stossel cites students in Europe doing better on standardized tests than US students. No surprise there. The lack of school choice is one reason why American children lag so far behind Europeans and especially Asians. American school districts are inconsistent at best and incompetent at worst. The best part is the lazy teachers. This is a prime example of why American childern are at a disadvantage against Asians and Europeans.
Last week’s Florida court ruling against vouchers came after teacher Ruth Holmes Cameron and advocacy groups brought a suit to block the program.
“To say that competition is going to improve education? It’s just not gonna work. You know competition is not for children. It’s not for human beings. It’s not for public education. It never has been, it never will be,” Holmes said.
I almost couldn’t believe it. Competition is not for human beings. What is that all about? Gee Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas any more. Quick, follow the Ho Chi Minh Trail! No wonder American children are lagging so far behind. They’re being taught to not compete against the world economy. Even France scored higher than the US! We joke about the French speaking German had WWII turned out differently. Hopefully I won’t live to see the day that French is important to Vietnamese people in business.

A recent interview with the leadership in Iran opens the door to the possibility that the Islamic republic has had Nuclear Weapons all along.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said nuclear weapons were against Islamic teachings, as well as Iranian interests, but he vowed to pursue atomic energy.
It appears that Muslims are just like Christians in that prior teachings of great religious leaders are incorporated into the holy books of each religion. As many of my fundamentalist Christian friends tell me the Bible says abortion is a sin along with many other things. Since Ayatollah Khamenei says that nuclear weapons are against Islamic teachings we must assume that there is some obscure passage in the Koran where Mohammad wrote that thou shalt not use nuclear weapons because it is unislamic. How kind of the prophet Mohammad. Though this does raise a spectre of fear for the west since it now confirms that the Arabic and Persian world has had nuclear weapons since the time of Mohammad. This will probably steam the Democrats since we can now prove that Saddam did have WMD’s for many years because the great prophet Mohammad said so in the Koran.

Aside from the usual benefits of proving that a scientific concept actually works, these little green meanies could be a great weapon in the war on terror. That’s right! Not only do we have unclean animals, but their evil glow was created by the infidels. Imagine the effect of ghostly glow in the dark pigs wandering the streets of Tehran or Mecca. The next step is to try to add the viciousness of a pit bull to these glowing monsters then we will have something that should be turned loose on the terrorsts. If Asians made them glow then Asians can also make them mean as hell.

345 have perished near Mecca in the symbolic throwing of stones at an effigry representing the devil.
“So far, the number of confirmed deaths is 345 and the number of injured in hospital is 289,” health minister Hamad bin Abdullah al-Manei told Saudi state television, adding that many had been discharged.
This is what happens when you have too many people in a given space. It is somewhat interesting that muslims throw stones at the devil and women. Could there be some connection to the power of females and Satan? As seen in Mohammad Atta’s last will and testament women are not welcome, even to bid a martyr farewell. Without putting too much thought into this we can conclude that muslims think women are the devil and therefore Allah must be a man. If women are the devil and no devils are allowed in paradise, then the 72 virgins must be boys. Which leads us to ask if this conclusion has anything to do with Michael Jackson joining the Nation of Islam.

Iran Focus-News is reporting that an Iranian court has sentenced a teenage rape victim to death by hanging after she weepingly confessed that she had unintentionally killed a man who had tried to rape both her and her niece.
This is getting old real fast. A girl only identified by her first name, Nazanin, is now scheduled to be hanged for stabbing an attempted rapist to death. Under the law of the religion of peace, being raped is punishable by stoning. This poor girl was forced in an instant to choose death by stoning or death by hanging. I don’t understand how the Iranian legal system works, but I would greatly appreciate any Iranian bloggers out there who would take photographs and pass out the names of the judges/jurors who issue rulings of this nature. Where are the femminists on this issue? Surely I’m not the only one who believes that the judge needs to spend 20 years in the Hanoi Hilton.
