Meth Soothes the Savage Beast

September 27th, 2005 by Quan Tranh

It was revealed today that Ashley Smith, the woman who convinced Atlanta court house shooter Brian Nichols to turn himself in actually gave the savage killer meth. If it works it works. She claims to have not touched meth since then and in GA you can’t be charged based on a confession alone. Perhaps we should give all killers meth. So much meth that they OD.

Why Blame Brown?

September 27th, 2005 by Quan Tranh

Former FEMA Cheif Michael Brown is having to defend himself in front of Congress this week. This is such a shame that he is having to fight off the dogs. He may not be the most qualified person, but knowing the local government as I do he is the least to blame. Between the mayor of NO and the governor facing off nothing would have been accomplished in a reasonable amount of time. Either way it’s no real loss that things didn’t happen quickly. There’s not much that can be done to help the situation anyway.

Don’t sign that petition

September 17th, 2005 by Quan Tranh

Here’s a new way of rocking the vote. It looks like a group of people are planning to post the information of people who sign an anti-gay marriage petition. That’s a creative use of public information. Some may consider it harassment, but it’s merely using what has always been there. I wonder how long it will be until ChoicePoint starts mining petition information.

Political Justice

September 14th, 2005 by Quan Tranh

These people voted against the aid package for hurricane Katrina. Hopefully the voters in their district will reward them for trying to set a good example. It is the paid duty of your local and state government not everyone else’s to bail you out. More importantly you should have some insurance and get the hell out when you know for 5 days that a hurricane is out there. What a wonderful attempt to villify 11 people who are doing what is best for the voters in their district.

I See Dead People

September 11th, 2005 by Quan Tranh

CNN wins ruling on news coverage in New Orleans. FEMA attempted to restrict news media coverage of dead people during the clean up process. Why is FEMA so concerned with what CNN or anyone else does? Some of us might want a little reality in our Reality TV.

Water Cheaper Than Storage

September 11th, 2005 by Quan Tranh

A county in Arizona voted to continue providing water to illegal aliens crossing the desert.

It costs about $300,000 annually to recover and store the bodies of illegal immigrants who die in Pima County, Pima County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry said.

According to the article it costs the taxpayers $1500 per autopsy, not counting the costs of sending people out to gather the dead bodies.

Here’s a new thought for Pima County, just don’t go! The politically correct term for these people is undocumented workers. Without documentation you would never know that they even exist. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, yada yada yada. Why waste taxpayer money on something that isn’t even there according to official records?

The other problem with this arrangement is that it is not environmentally friendly. Vultures and coyotes need to eat too. By decreasing the number of dead bodies along the border I fear that these important animals may go hungry.

Mud Farmers Won’t Leave

September 7th, 2005 by Quan Tranh

The more I read about New Orleans the more I wonder how it manages to function as a part of this country. When it’s time to go, it’s time to go. There’s nothing left of the city but burning or flooded buildings and yet some people refuse to leave. Beyond that, it’s for the wrong reasons.

Dolores Devron lashed out in anger as soldiers led her and her husband, Forcell, out of their flooded home.

“There are dead babies tied to poles and they’re dragging us out and leaving the dead babies. That ain’t right!” she screamed, waving her arms as she was directed onto a troop carrier truck.

Hello Delores!!! They’re DEAD!!! You’re still alive and you “gots ta goooo!”

On the other hand maybe we should just blow every levy, flood the city, and call the place New Venice. It could help with the tourist trade and wash away the stench on Bourbon Street.

To the Dogs

September 1st, 2005 by Quan Tranh

Brilliant! Neiman Marcus has fired an employee for coming to the rescue of some poor dogs locked in the back of a car. Valerie Cheatham reported the incident to Fulton County Animal Control and then tried to get water to the dogs through the sunroof. The car’s owner, a Ramona Lindsey of Peachtree City was being a total bitch according to the AJC

Cheatham said Ramona Lindsey screamed for her to get off the “$80,000 car.”

According to Cheatham, Lindsey also said: “I hope you’re somebody because I’m going to have your job.”

Now Neiman Marcus may have been right in firing Cheatham for failure to perform her duties since she was in the parkinglot taking care of the dogs. I won’t dispute that. On the other hand Lindsey should be locked up for cruelty to animals, and I would like to see the VP who had the final say on firing Cheatham locked up as well. It is the duty of any American to come to the aid of others in need, whether they are human or some other creature. If it were a child in the back seat of the car, I’m sure any bystanders who stood around without breaking the window would be charged with child endangerment. If not the DA isn’t doing his job. I would argue the same goes for animals in a car as well. It would be logical to assume that since Cheatam was fired for assisting the dogs, then if she had asked permission from her manager or higher executives they would have said to not interfere. Again, if it were a child in the car then they would be enabling cruelty to children or manslaughter and on be on their way to jail if the police had found out they ordered someone to not assist.

Apparently Ramona Lindsey has an unlisted numer or her phone is in her husband’s name since there’s only one Lindsey listed in Peachtree City. I guess calling to complain might be out, unless that’s her real number and address.

What needs to happen now is FC Animal Control needs to have Ramona Lindsey arrested for cruelty to animals. I’m not sure what should be done with Neiman Marcus. Maybe ASPCA, PETA, or some other tree hugging organization needs to start a smear campaign at the very least.
