Bush Vows to Veto Stem Cell Legislation
May 20th, 2005 by Quan Tranh
GWB has decided that he is going to veto any changes to legislation that would potentially provide medical assistance to Americans with an illness. This is troubling in many aspects. For some reason the President feels that people should continue to suffer. While the President tries to look out for the best interest of America, I believe he is shorting all of us in the long run. South Korea is planning to expand its stem cell research program. If GWB does not allow this legislation to go through, then other countries will continue to out maneuver us. It is fitting that an Asian country would put research ahead of religious zealotry.
